Stop does not mean you quit, but it does mean to recognize when what you are doing right now is not giving you your desired results.

Previously, I shared regarding when your “Vision Determines Your Discipline”. (Part 1)

I began to share about “TO BE”… “TO BE” is a mindset change.. It is visually seeing yourself not where you are, but at your destination. “TO BE” is seeing yourself “being” BEFORE you “become”.

Today I will continue with Part 2. We will focus on exactly what is meant by Stop, and Change Your Mindset. Later in part 3 we will conclude with the final step “Adjust Your Behavior”.

STOP

If you have ever driven and stopped at a red light vs a stop sign. You may have noticed that unlike a red light in which you are ordered to remain for a particular amount of time, a stop sign has more flexibility.

YOU determine how long you stop at the stop sign and YOU determine when to continue forward. Either way STOP is Temporary.

When you stop in the context of this article, stop does not always mean you quit, but it does mean what you are doing right now is not giving you your desired results.

In fact, stop should never be forever. However, it should be long enough to Re-calibrate, Re-evaluate and Change.

CHANGE YOUR MINDSET

The other day while driving to pick up a family member, I found myself during peak hours in a horrendous traffic jam.

As I listened to my GPS it kept attempting to direct me onto the freeway, which at that time was a jam-packed parking lot.

RefusIng to contend with traffic on the freeway and take surface streets instead, the GPS eventually changed and gave new directions on the side streets.

“Change your mindset” means changing the way you think or changing your core beliefs. Your core belief will eventually change what you do and how you do it.

These mindset changes, may also require you changing how much time you invest in “non-productive” things and/or people.

YOU…. are a result of your environment, and your environment is not necessarily your neighborhood, home or those you associate with. It begins with YOUR MIND.

There are many people who despite being raised in a bad neighborhood or home,  they did not allow it to negatively impact their future.

What you “choose” to focus on, plays even a larger part towards your success. You see, you will eventually go in the direction which you focus.

So surround yourself with those who you aspire to be like, and embrace those who positively support your vision.

Continuely keep your vision in front of you and regularly review your plan of action and see yourself accomplishing YOUR DREAM.

As always, I love you dangerously,

Carol
