In my previous article “Relentless..regardless what it looks like” I shared a story about an old friend’s wife and how she dealt with snails and slugs which attacked her garden.

In being relentless in addressing certain repetitive issues in your life requires you to change.

Change rarely if ever happens overnight..however, it can take place in 3 essential steps…

* Face the repeated problems.

*  Confront those issues that revolve around your life.

Lastly, Move forward valiantly

1Face the repeated problems

When facing reoccurring problems in your life,  always remember your problems are never as important as How you respond to them, and What you choose to do about it.

Try not to be overly critical of yourself, as you implement change.  You see in anything worth while there is a process to accomplish progress.

Also, never negate to doing nothing hoping change will take place on it’s own. Change is inevitable, and doing nothing may not be the change you desire.

When you acknowledge each problem, you choose to be honest with yourself first.

It’s as if you ACKNOWLEDGING what is happening YOU DECIDE this is not acceptable in your life. You take your power back on your life to choose. You have options.

In other words, you conclude what is not beneficial for your plans, dreams and purpose.

YOU have the opportunity to reaffirm your value. Value to yourself and value to others, by setting clear boundaries and enforcing them.

As my mother always says…”it always starts at home first…or it starts with you first”.

As insignificant as this initial step may appear, it is very important to at least trust and care enough about yourself to want to change.

To successfully confront your problems you must recognize you are worth it and you have value. You have purpose…

2. Confront those issues that revolve around your life

What you refuse to confront you automatically condone. Confronting a repeated problem is by no means the end, but it is vital in addressing any issue.

In confronting your problems you do something about it.  In doing anything you first have to have a plan.

So many times people won’t write or implement a plan because they want all the resources ahead of time. They want everything perfect.  However, this almost always nevers happens that way.

Writing a plan is giving yourself permission…. permission to start. It is a road-map of the strategy to how to dismantle a problem and dissect a solution into bite size pieces and simplistic steps.

Even though life may have gotten more complicated with the advancement of technology, less time is now required for problem solving or completing projects. You can do more in less time, with fewer resources.

It is as if goals which should have taken decades has been shortened….This makes completing projects and obtaining resources more readily available.  Thank you Google, youtube, zoom and various other social medium.

3. Move forward valiantly.

2 Chronicles 25:8 states “But if thou wilt go, do valiantly , be strong for the battle: God will cast thee down before the enemy; for God hath power to help, and to cast down. “

The main components of this verse can be summed up with How you can and should you move forward.  The answer is simple… valiantly…. this is done in 3 action words. GO…DO and BE…

Love,

Carol
