Last night I spoke to a friend of mine who is currently experiencing a problem. They explained that one of the struggles for them was not becoming worried or emotional.
As I listened, it appeared the greater lesson for them was knowing they had hired someone to solve a problem and if that individual continued to drag their feet and behaved (well there are certain words that may not be eloquent, but drives home and shares the point.. So excuse my choice of words “shiftless”) that could be a problem.
Don’t get me wrong my friend did need to hire an expert and “plans fail because of lack of counsel.” (proverbs 15:22), but I am not sure the person currently handling this is the best choice.
It’s important that we remember we are in a spiritual battle not physical. It is easy to focus on the individual who is misbehaving or acting out of character, rather than the actual driving force.
I know there are probably a few eyebrows raised right now… so let me explain and then You can decide….
Acts 13:6-12(NLT version) explains (Carol’s version) a socerer decides that he is going to “attach” himself to a guy who was extremely intelligent and a Governor.
It goes on to explain that when the Governor tried to hear the truth (the gospel). The sorcerer began to sabotage Paul and Barnabas who had been sent to minister. Hence, this stopped the governor from receiving Christ and obtaining His breakthrough.
Well this is the book of Acts so the Holy Spirit is moving and yes He reveals this to Paul … (read the rest it is pretty interesting).
There are 3 Key Components Satan Will use in an effort to have you remain deceived
#1. To prevent your break through, a spirit can try to block it..
He blocks it by distractions, anger, frustration and fear are just a few. These are all spirits.
That can have you have the appearance of busy, yet have little to no fruition. Spirit of distraction, decieving spirits And rebellion. etc
#2. The enemy is not just after your “now” but “your destiny”..
Remember this man was a governor, he had a “sphere of influence” there were people who would benefit from his obedience.
You have great potential and you carry valuable cargo. Your destiny does matter.
#3.We need the Holy Spirit . We need him to ACTIVATE our discernment.
ThIs world is not a level playing field. However, with the Holy Spirit we don’t just overcome we are MORE THAN OVERCOMERS.
Can you imagine being downloaded with information for Your next company meetin? Being revealed the strategy for a problem and given an innovative idea?
The Holy Spirit can help You.
