The Winter Olympics in Beijing, People’s Republic of China is here,

It started February 4th and will go through about February 20, 2022 , and then off to  Paris, France, for 2024 Summer Olympics.

Well, I enjoy the Olympics, but I also love to watch previous Olympic games….expecially the summer games, like the one held in Japan Tokyo.

Of course, the summer Olympics may have come and gone, but the memories are something which will prevail not just in the lives of the athletes, (depending how they did that is), but also for me.

You see, the Olympics draws the best of the best from many countries across the globe for one reason…. to compete.
The good, better and best

This undoubtedly creates, laughter, memories, tears, it also produces medals, but most importantly, it produces  NEW world records….. waiting to be broken.

My favorite part is  when  world athletes break their OWN RECORDs.

Reality is ….you are your best competition, you are also your best friend, foe and chearleader.

Like it or not..  we are all in a race.

A race in locating and living the most authentic you possible.

I believe  the best gift you can give yourself and this universe is….Being authentic,
being true to you, walking and living a purposeful life.

Also, let’s not forget we are human beings, not human doings.

Authentic is a state of “being”… not doing.

“Being” is your existence, it is the ability to grow into full potential.

The most damaging and disheartening thing to yourself or anyone else is pretending to be who you truly were not created to be.

At one time during my life, I recall that I didn’t like my voice, and when I spoke, I hated my accent.

There were times, I tried to hide the true me. As a result, all my pains, ill-treatments and failures were somehow bottled up within and I began to believe the lie.

As silly as it is, I carried all these lies and dead weights, for quite awhile, and it began to define me. It didn’t matter how great a job I did, or how many successes and accomplishments I had. I felt ill-equipped and under utilized.

This weight began to determine where I could go, how far I could excel or how hard I would even try.  It prevented me from living life in and on purpose.

I don’t know who you are, but I have a message for you…

Things happen .  You can either remain a victim or overcome and become a victor.

No ….I am not saying you ignore or pretend what happened or what’s happening isn’t real. See it for what it truly is.

Take a breath, release the past and do the necessary steps to get where you really want to go. Place yourself in the driver’s seat again.

Making a single decision and being deliberate to HOW you RESPOND to what happens is a decision, which is capable of  changing the entire trajectory for your life.

Your single response..

It happened…. but at sometime or another…. in order to move forward it either happened TO you or FOR  you….

You are either become better or you remain bitter..

It’s a choice.

Now, This has nothing to do with the PROCESS… that’s necessary..or why it’s happening to you or seeing progress in your life.

All of those components you’re experiencing are important and need to occur as you move beyond where you are …to where you need  to and want to be.

So what’s next? I say be grateful for each day and moment. Recognize you are here and here for a purpose. Positively impact others, leave your mark and a legacy.

I choose to live life and overcome and live. Will you join me?

Love,

Carol.
